I live on a small hobby farm in North Carolina called "Picturebook Farm" along with two horses "Jupiter" and "Chuckles, "Theo" the donkey, my wonderful dog "Captain-Jack-Adventure-Dog-Extraordinaire", "Rocket" the zoomie cat, and several friendly Koi fish that will eat out of your hand if you're quiet and kind to them. 

A lot of wild animals visit the farm. Currently there are 4 baby red-shouldered hawks growing up in the front pasture. Other animals that visit are turtles, bats, snakes, mice, squirrels, rabbits, foxes, coyotes, and sometimes a mysterious crayfish. Because it's a warm climate, there are also all sorts of interesting tree frogs, lizards, skinks and thousands of different kinds of birds from tiny hummingbirds to huge vultures, wild turkeys and great blue herons. There's also a resident amorous bullfrog that likes to sing all night long. 

It's my happy place.
